Duste captures Lon Skinner Memorial

He fends off Wauge to win 100-lap event

WHITE CITY — Matt Duste held off Mark Wauge to win the 100-lap Lon Skinner Memorial modified feature at Southern Oregon Speedway on Sunday.

With 10 laps remaining, Wauge dogged Duste around the track waiting for an opportunity to take the lead. Meanwhile Troy Foulger moved into the mix by passing Travis Peery for third.

Duste was able to fend off Wauge as the leaders approached traffic and take the checkered flag.

Peery came in fourth.

The race, which was littered with caution flags, featured 24 cars.
