Waterfalls and wildflowers at Crater Lake

Every year, Dave Rott and his family make as many trips to Crater Lake National Park as possible.

But during a visit in August, the family didn't even lay eyes on the park's signature lake, Rott said, because this year's trip was about waterfalls and wildflowers.

The Rotts took hikes to Plaikni Falls, Vidae Falls (shown at right) and the Castle Crest Wildflower Garden Trail in Crater Lake National Park.

"Each spot was spectacular," he says.

Rott posted five photos from the family outing on Oregon Outdoors' "My Adventure Galleries," which you can see at www.oregonoutdoors.com.

Whether you took a vacation in Yellowstone, a fishing trip to Alaska, a wildflower hike on Mount Ashland or a crabbing trip to Coos Bay, we'd like to see your photos too.

To upload photos, go to www.mailtribune.com, cursor over "Photos/Videos" on the menu bar and click on "Send us a photo." On the page that pops up, go to "Pick a publication" and scroll down to Oregon Outdoors. Fill in your name and the other required fields and upload as many photos as you want.

The photos will appear on the Oregon Outdoors website under "My Adventure Galleries," and every month we like to pick a photo or two from the galleries to run in this space.
