Top area chefs will teach attendees of the Rogue Valley Growers & Crafters Market how to prepare meals using local ingredients during Eat Local Week.
Cucina Biazzi's chef Chandra Corwin will give a demonstration 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Ashland Growers & Crafters Market, 1420 E. Main St. Elements Tapas Bar & Lounge's chef Braden Hitt will give a demonstration at the Medford Growers & Crafters Market 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at 1701 S. Pacific Highway.
The week also will include the Great Tomato Tasting, where market-goers will be able to taste a variety of tomatoes, including heirloom, cherry and hybrids from the region. The event will take place 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, at the Ashland market and Thursday and Saturday the Medford markets.
