  • 4:10 p.m. Northbound lanes of Interstate 5 have reopened after a fatal crash near Rogue River.
3 p.m. Oregon State Police report that a multiple-vehicle crash with a fatality is causing long delays in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5.
Police said the crash is near the Jackson-Josephine county line, just north of Rogue River. Motorists should expect 20-minute delays as emergency crews respond. One lane has reopened at mile post 47.5, but officials have no estimate on when the second lane will reopen.
2:25 p.m. The northbound lanes of Interstate 5 are closed between Rogue River and Valley of the Rogue State Park because a car has crashed into the Rogue River.
TripCheck.com, an Oregon Department of Transportation website, reports that the freeway is closed at mile 47.5 to provide a landing zone for a Mercy Flights helicopter.
We will have more details as they become available.
