LAPINE — Brandon Williams had quite the performance for the Cascade Christian football team Saturday.
The speedy senior running back accounted for six touchdowns as the Challengers demolished Nyssa 52-14 in a nonconference game on a neutral field at LaPine High.
Williams scored on runs of 23, 62, 6 and 76 yards, returned a fumble for a 69-yard TD and had a 77-yard interception return for a score.
Williams carried the ball only six times but gained 192 of Cascade's 261 yards on the ground.
"(Williams) continues to make plays," said Cascade Christian coach Jon Gettman. "He really capitalizes when he gets the ball in his hands. When he's in space, it's tough to bring him down. He's elusive."
The Challengers (4-0) scored three touchdowns on just eight plays in less than eight minutes of the first quarter.
Cascade scored with under a minute gone in the game after Clayton Lee recovered a fumble at Nyssa's 26 on the opening play and Williams went 23 yards for a TD two snaps later.
The Challengers built a 45-6 halftime lead and their defense limited Nyssa to 91 yards in the first two quarters.
Dante Olson, a sophomore linebacker, played a key role in bottling up the Bulldogs.
