  • KLAMATH FALLS — Just a night after winning a five-set match, the North Valley volleyball team came up short in five against Klamath Union in Skyline Conference action on Wednesday.
    The Pelicans edged the Knights 25-22, 25-12, 16-25, 24-26, 15-13.
    On Tuesday, North Valley defeated Mazama in five games and Klamath Union lost in straight sets to Phoenix.
    Madi Trelease recorded seven kills and two aces and Jordan Newman had five blocks and five kills for the Pelicans (1-6, 1-2 Sky) on Wednesday.
    Kenzie Schmoll turned in 25 digs, Lacey Lacosse 27 assists and Karley Hook 16 kills and seven blocks for the Knights, who fell to 1-2 in Skyline play and 3-6 overall.
    ASHLAND 19, MEDFORD 11 — At Ashland, Hoku Eggertsen had six goals, seven steals and six assists and Miles Furuichi and Cole Harding added three goals apiece for the Ashland boys team at the Southern Oregon University pool.
    Calvin Buchholz chipped in with four goals and Reid Gibson and John Walker had three goals each for the Medford squad.
    Medford goalkeeper Geoffrey Pine made six saves on goal.
    ASHLAND 19, MEDFORD 3 — At Ashland, Sadie Kasiah had four goals and seven steals, Ada Lawson five goals and four steals, Lili Wurfl three blocks and Maddy Longshore three goals for Ashland at the Southern Oregon University pool.
