Medford girl's photo appears on Times Square video screen

A photo of Medford resident Christy Hague was part of the National Down Syndrome Society's annual Times Square video presentation on Sept. 22.

The presentation showcased the group's mission of promoting acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.

Hague, who has Down syndrome, had her photo selected from more than 1,000 entries sent in during a worldwide call for photos.

In the selected photograph, Hague is preparing for a zip-line ride in Gold Hill at Rogue Valley Zipline Adventures.

More than 200 photographs appeared in the video, which was shown on the News Corp. Sony screen in the heart of Times Square.

The Times Square video presentation kicks off Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October.
