WEDDINGTON, N.C. — Jason Allred missed the cut on the Web.com Tour after shooting an even-par 72 in the second round of the Chiquita Classic at The Club at Longview.

Allred, an Ashland native, had an uphill climb from where he began the day, in a tie for 77th at 1 under par.

His start was encouraging after scoring an eagle on the fourth hole, but he was unable to break par the rest of the way.

Russell Henley is alone atop the leaderboard after breaking away from a six-way tie for first place entering the day. He bettered his first-day score of 66 with a 65.
