Leo E. Osborn, 87, of Unionville, Ind., passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012.
Born February 19, 1925, in Los Angeles County, Calif., to Eugene Beauzy and Ruby (Adams) Osborn. Leo lived in Ashland, Ore., from 1942 until 1975. He entered the military in 1925, and was a medic during WWII. He was an owner-operator cross-country truck driver for over 50 years. Leo also served as past president of the Pacific Coast Owner-Operator Association in Portland, Ore., and received recognition for the Motor-Carriers Law from 1980 that was signed into legislation. He retired to Unionville, Ind., in 1992. He was a member of the Little Union Baptist Church.
Leo is survived by his wife of 44 years, Luvilla (young) Osborn, of Unionville; six children, Bill (Venie) Osborn, of Kettle Falls, Wash., Ron (Andrea) Osborn, of Vancouver, Wash., Darlene (Evans) Easton, of Unionville, Ind., Debra (Evans) Witt, of Medford, Ore., Jesse Goucher, of Yreka, Calif., and Debby Stovall, of Medford, Ore.; grandchildren, Lorie (Colin) Cockerham, cory (Jennifer) Osborn, Deeji Lesrieur, Travis Lesrieur, Sherri Lesrieur, Eric Osborn, Rhonda Osborn, Mike Jordan, Tanya (Lonnie) Stacy, David Tucker, T.J. (Tony) Bowlen, Kevin Gibbel, Kelly Lopez, Eli Witt, Jake Stovall, Kayla (Andrew) Grajalez, Danielle Stovall, Devon Roth, and Hailey Roth; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Preceding him in death are his brothers, Robert Osborn and Jack Beauzy; and two grandchildren, Billy Osborn and Jennifer Jennings.
Services were held Wednesday, September 26, at Little Union Baptist Church and military burial was at the Bridge Church Cemetery in Unionville, Ind.
