Plastics rounded up for recycling

Jackson County rounds up plastics for recycling from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, and Saturday, Oct. 20.

Items like nursery pots, bubble wrap, bailing twine, snack food bags, cassettes, discs, lawn chairs, toys and irrigation parts will be accepted. A full list of items is available at

Plastics should be sorted in to hard, soft and nursery plastics before being brought to either the Jackson County Expo in Central Point or the Ashland National Guard Armory, 1420 E. Main St., Ashland.

There will be a fee of $5 per household and a $5 per yard fee for businesses and large loads.
