Cave Junction man arrested on drug, weapon charges

A 25-year-old Cave Junction man was arrested on drug and weapon charges early Thursday when police searched the man's home.

Oregon State Police Sgt. Jim Johnson said OSP SWAT served a search warrant at 5:30 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 1700 block of Dick George Road, where Devin Carrier lived. During the search police found a half ounce of methamphetamine, 10 pounds of marijuana, six marijuana plants and two guns, one of which was an AR-15 semi-automatic assault rifle, an OSP news release said.

Carrier was arrested on charges of unlawful possession, distribution, and manufacture of methamphetamine, unlawful possession and manufacture of marijuana and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

An interagency team of detectives from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, OSP, Josephine County District Attorney's Office and Josephine County Community Corrections carried out the arrest.
