  • PROSPECT — Prospect's Heather Lass and Taylor Bernhardt kept Trinity Lutheran on its heels with stellar serving to lead the Cougars to a key win in Mountain Valley League volleyball on Saturday.
    Lass served for 20 points with good pace and placement and notched eight aces and Bernhardt added six aces to lead Prospect to a 25-8, 25-12, 25-15 victory.
    "I think our serving was extremely strong," said Prospect head coach Shelli Lass. "They struggled in their serve-receive against us."
    The Cougars (12-3, 9-1 MVL) made a move in the league standings with the win, shoring up second place with a second victory this season over the third-place Saints (9-4, 6-3). Both teams trail Hosanna Christian (16-3, 10-0).
    Bernhardt finished with 12 kills and six blocks to go with her solid serving, while Lass had 12 digs and 31 assists and Haylee VanWormer contributed 10 digs in Prospect's fourth straight victory.
