Barbara Allen, 82, beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, peacefully passed away in her home Wednesday, October 3, 2012.
Bobbie was proud to tell people that she was born in New Orleans, La. She was a LADY, ever so proper, gentle, and gracious.
Bob and Bobbie met in East Los Angeles at the motorcycle races in July 1947. From that day on, he sent her flowers every day. One month later, in Santa Barbara, Calif., August 27, 1947, they were married. This past August 27, 2012, they celebrated 65 years of marriage and life together.
In 1980, they sold their home in Studio City, Calif., bought a motorhome, and began three years on the road searching for that special place to retire and enjoy the rest of their lives. That brought them to Trail, Ore. Here she really found herself. She was involved with the Historical Society, her Pear Blossom Doll Club and enjoyed going on car outings with their Rogue Valley Model A's car club.
Bobbie is survived by her husband, Bob Allen; daughters and sons-in law, Vicki and Gary deCourval, and Cindi and Karl Lasater; grandsons, Allan Gold and Joey deCourval; and five beautiful great-grandchildren.
There will be a viewing 2:00-4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012, at 550 Business Park Dr, Medford, Ore., 97504.
She will be forever loved, remembered and missed!
