Chuck went to be with his Lord, in his home, surrounded by family, Monday, October 8, 2012, after a nine-month battle with cancer.
He was born in Erie, Kans., September 19, 1929. He moved to Medford, Ore., for his senior year of high school in 1946. On July 15, 1949 he married Barbara Phillips, of Medford. Chuck owned and operated the Central Barber Shop in downtown Medford for 57 years.
Chuck organized numerous church-league sports and participated in those leagues into his 50s. Chuck was very active as a deacon and as Seniors Sunday School president for First Baptist Church of Medford.
Chuck had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing with his family.
Together Chuck and Barbara raised three children whom he loved very much. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Bruce (Laura) and Brent; daughter, Lisa Dalbec (Keith); grandchildren, Kayla, Andrew, Alicia, Aron, Brittany; great-granddaughter, Morgan; sister, Willa Babcock; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Frankie; an infant son; a brother; a sister.
Chuck was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved the Lord and will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will take place at Siskiyou Memorial Park located at 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford, Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 1:00 p.m.
