DEA raids Applegate marijuana gardens

Drug enforcement agents were back in the Applegate Valley Wednesday, this time raiding marijuana gardens in the 800 block of Left Fork Humbug Creek Road, according to Lori Duckworth, executive director of the Southern Oregon chapter of the National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws.

Spokespersons for the FBI and Oregon State Police would not confirm any details about the raid while it was still under investigation. Duckworth was near the property during the raid and said there were three growing sites associated with the property and that the neighbors speculated that about 300 plants were seized.

According to Duckworth, the growers were not associated with SONORML. The last known raid by Drug Enforcement Administration agents locally was Sept. 18 at High Hopes Farm, a large medical marijuana operation in Ruch.
