Allred falls into tie for eighth place at Miccosukee Championship

MIAMI — A day after matching his career-best round, Jason Allred struggled through a 4-over-par 75 Friday to drop from first into a tie for eighth through two rounds of the Miccosukee Championship at the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club.

The Ashland native trails leader Steve LeBrun by four strokes heading into today's third round.

Allred birdied the par-3 fourth hole and made the turn at even par before stumbling on the back nine with four bogeys.

In Thursday's opening round, Allred shot a 7-under 64, one stroke shy of the lowest first-round score in the tournament's history.
