Jesse Lynne Pethtel and Jarod Jonathan Courtney were married May 19, 2012, at Urban Studio in Portland. Maureen Graham officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Lynne Pethtel and Sue Dolf of Medford. She is a 1998 graduate of Ashland High School and a 2005 graduate of University of Oregon with a degree in sociology. She works as an admissions and recruitment assistant at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.

The groom is the son of Teresa Courtney of Eugene and Jim Horton of Springfield. He is a 1998 graduate of Marist Catholic High School in Eugene and a 2003 graduate of University of Oregon with a degree in journalism. He works as a footwear product-line manager for Nike in Beaverton.

Maid of honor was friend Rohanna Buchanan of Eugene. Bridesmaids were friends Alex Brookins of Ashland, Michelle Eigner of Portland and Frankie Brookins of Ashland.

Best man was friend Brandon Workman of Portland. Groomsmen were friends Ryan Sieg and Ross Krempley, both of Eugene.

Ushers were friends Chris Boone and Kyley Johnson, and the flower girl was friend Jaden Marguiles.

A reception hosted by the couple followed the ceremony at Urban Studio. After a honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii, the newlyweds are living in Portland.
