  • Tips have been trickling in to Medford police this morning from eyewitnesses who may have seen something connected to the homicide case involving a 58-year-old taxi driver.
"If you were down there on Saturday night on Front Street, call us," Medford police Lt. Mike Budreau said.
So far, police haven't received any solid leads from eyewitnesses who may have seen William Roy Huson pick up a fare at Howiee's on Front at 10:40 Saturday night.
The fare was the last radio contact Huson had with Valley Cab before the company reported him missing at 1:02 a.m.
Huson was shot in the head, his body discovered Sunday morning by police in a field off Helo Drive near Vilas Road.
Budreau said the street in front of Howiee's was busy on Saturday night. He is asking anyone who was in the vicinity of Howiee's to contact police.
Police are hoping to question as many individuals as possible to help jog their memories of what took place around the bar, Budreau said.
Anyone who was at or near Howiee's Saturday night should call 541-770-4783 or make an anonymous tip at www.tipsubmit.com.
Budreau said investigators hope someone might have seen suspicious activity around the time Huson picked up his fare.
Investigators also have interviewed residents near Ninth and Almond streets, where Huson's taxi was found abandoned.
