  • KLAMATH FALLS — Southern Oregon's Stephanie Carr scored a pair of second-half goals to help the Raiders earn a 3-1 women's soccer victory over Oregon Tech in Cascade College Conference play on Sunday afternoon.
    The Raiders (8-5-2, 4-2-1 CCC) outshot Oregon Tech (6-5-1, 4-2-1 CCC) 17-8 in the match, and all four goals occurred in the second half. Carr put SOU on the board in the 51st minute when she scored on a penalty kick, and Megan McArthur made it a 2-0 lead two minutes later when she shot from 15 yards out on the left side and sent it past the OIT goalkeeper.
    Hanna Gil pulled the Owls within one in the 79th minute, putting the ball into the net off a corner kick assist from Rebekah Nisbet. Carr gave SOU an insurance goal in the 86th minute when she scored her 12th of the season and extended her career record to 35, taking a pass from Sydney Paulsen on the right side and knocking it into the center of the goal from 10 yards out.
