  • The Bear Creek Watershed Council will hold its annual meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the Medford library's large meeting room.
    The event is free and open to the public. A light meal will be provided; reservations are requested and may be made by contacting Frances Oyung, council coordinator, at 541-840-1810 or coordinator@bearcreek-watershed.org.
    Scott Willey, a fisheries biologist with the federal Bureau of Reclamation, will give the featured presentation on the bureau's restoration activities in the Bear Creek watershed.
    The bureau is planning extensive restorations in the Bear Creek watershed. Private landowners and others are encouraged to attend and hear about the restoration plan, and learn what the work entails and about its impacts on the watershed.
