  • "West Coast Live" will broadcast a show from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Angus Bowmer Theatre from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9.
    The show will be taped before a live audience, then broadcast on National Public Radio stations — including Jefferson Public Radio — the following day. Locally, it will air at 3 p.m. Saturdays at KSMF, 89.1 FM.
    Tickets to the event are $25 and available at ijpr.org, at Paddington Station in downtown Ashland, or by calling 1-877-646-4TIX.
    Guests for Friday's show will be Jonathan Evison, author of the bestselling novel "West of Here." Southern Oregon bluegrass band Eight Dollar Mountain will perform tunes from its new album, "Riverboat Gambler"; and Mike Greensill, one of San Francisco's premier jazz and cabaret piano players will be joined by local musicians Joe Cohoon on bass and Ed Dunsavage on guitar.
