George E. Romaine, 85, passed away November 4, 2012, of natural causes, with his wife Stella and daughter Roseanne by his side.

George was born in Elizabeth, N.J. January 6, 1927. George married Stella Gambino November 5, 1955.

George is survived by his wife, Stella; daughter, Roseanne Romaine; grandson, Jordan Livas and granddaughter, Selena Livas, of Portland; his sister, Gladys Re, of Colorado; brothers, John and Douglas MacKenzie, of New Jersey; and nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sons, George III and Martin Luca; sisters, Frances Cramer and Marie Kurzmon; and brother, Jerry MacKenzie.

George served in the Navy. He was a Seaman 1st Class in the Armed Guard Service from May 4, 1944 - March 4, 1946. George was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2093, Moose Lodge, and Elks Lodge, and Shepherd of the Valley, Central Point. He was a volunteer of 20 years of the Jazz Jubilee and three times president of the Social Benefit Dance Club. His hobbies were dancing, oil and water color painting, and sports. George worked for H & H Provision, N.Y., New Jersey and was a school bus driver in Medford for four years.
