Goalie Woodring earns weekly honor in ECAC Northeast

DUDLEY, Mass. — Junior Dylan Woodring, from Rogue River, was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast hockey goalie of the week for his play last week.

Woodring plays for Nichols College of Dudley, Mass.

He surrendered one goal on 24 shots in an 8-1 triumph at Division II Assumption on Thursday in the season opener. Including a 6-1 win Wednesday at Stonehill, he boasts a .966 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average this season.

"Dylan is off to a great start for us," said head coach Kevin Swallow. "He worked very hard in the offseason and it has paid off. He looks very confident and composed in the net. He has also come up big for us in key moments, such as helping us kill off two 5-on-3's in the first period of the Assumption game."
