  • A Grants Pass man has been charged with manslaughter and DUII in the Sept. 21 motorcycle crash death of his girlfriend. Sean P. Dunn, 52, of 905 S.E. Fern St., was arraigned Wednesday in Josephine Circuit Court.
Killed in the crash was Melissa A. Todd, 36, of Grants Pass. Dunn was operating a motorcycle with Todd aboard when the crash occurred on a Friday night at Tetherow Road and the Williams Highway. Both were thrown from the bike and were found unconscious. Todd died at the scene and Dunn was injured.
The manslaughter charge alleges that Dunn caused Todd's death "recklessly and with extreme indifference" to the value of human life.
Dunn was arrested twice in Josephine County for DUII in 2007 and 2010, and later pleaded guilty. Dunn was lodged in the Josephine County Jail, in lieu of posting $100,000 bail.
Todd was the mother of two children and was employed at Diversified Collection Services. A donation account was set up at Rogue Federal Credit Union for the benefit of her children.
