Jack and Toni Six of Medford celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Orchard Retirement Home with a reception hosted by their children. About 20 people attended the open house.

Jack Six married Coleen Stephenson Nov. 1, 1942, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church of Medford.

They have four children, Teresa Six of Medford, Jocelyn Six Boulton of Medford, Larry Six of Eugene, and Jonni Six-Wolf, deceased; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Both Jack and Toni have deep roots in the Rogue Valley. Jack's grandfather, John Perl, came to the Rogue Valley in 1900 and started Perl Funeral Home, and Toni's father, R.O. Stephenson, came to the Rogue Valley in 1925 and started Stephenson Lumber Co.

Toni worked as a homemaker, and Jack worked as an accountant. Jack graduated from University of Oregon in 1942 and served in the Army Air Corps for pilot training during World War II.
