John (Jack) Franklin Hendrick, 85, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012. He went to grade school with his wife, Loveda (Gerri) Harbison, in Chickasha, Okla. They later met when her family stopped by to see him at Fort Bliss, Texas where he was stationed in the Army. They were married June 29, 1947. They were blessed with three sons, John N., David Bruce, and Daniel Alan; two daughters, Deborah Susan Stewart and Melody Lynn White; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand daughter.

Jack was employed by Kaiser Steel in Fontana, Calif. for 30 years. Even though he worked rotating shifts every week, he still found time to be a wonderful husband, spend quality time with his children, coach a baseball team, and teach an adult Sunday school class.

Upon retirement from Kaiser Steel, he and son-in-law, Robert Stewart, opened a custom meat cutting shop in Norco, Calif. His last job was at the Lawrence Welk timeshares.

Jack and Loveda moved to Medford in April 2000, where their daughter, Melody and her husband, Dr. Steven White reside. They attended the Nazarene Church in Medford. Pastor David Grinder and Associate Pastor Kevin Gowland officiated at the service.

Jack never met a stranger. He will always be remembered Leaving everyone he met with a smile on their face and laughter in their voice."
