Billy Ray Teems

Billy Ray Teems, 76, of Medford, Ore. passed away Friday, November 9, 2012, at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. He was born January 10, 1936, in Icard, N.C. to parents, Edward and Geneva.

 

Billy was the oldest of six children. He married Nancy in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho May 11, 1965. He served in the U.S. Navy for 24 years and served in Vietnam. Billy was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church in Rogue River. He and Nancy enjoyed fishing and traveling in their R.V.

 

Billy will be remembered by his loving wife, Nancy. He is also survived by stepson, William (Kellie) Bryan; granddaughter, Zemeer (John) Hilbert; great-granddaughter, Quill; sisters, Gladys Jonas and Hilda Hart; and brother, Dwight Teems. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved sister, Marge Teems; and brother, Hubert Teems.


Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15, at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. A memorial service for Billy will be held later at 1:00 p.m. at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Rogue River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend either celebration.
