    Laurie Anne Underwood, 64, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Adventist Medical Center in Portland, Ore.
    Laurie was born June 25, 1948, in Medford, Ore. She graduated from Medford High School in 1965 and later earned a bachelor of arts in communications from Southern Oregon State College. During her life in the Rogue Valley, Laurie was a volunteer with Crisis Intervention Services, C.A.T.S., the Women's Center at Southern Oregon University, and C.E.R.V.S. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed gardening, cooking, birdwatching and Shakespeare. Laurie was an avid fan of music from artist from Cat Stevens to classical composers. She was also known for her love of the Oregon Coast. Laurie was a congregant of Trinity Fellowship in Portland, Ore. and treasured her time with the weekly women's Bible study group.
    There will be a private service for her family. Donations in her memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Portland, Oregon, 2901 SE 122nd, Portland, OR 97236.
    Laurie is survived by her sister, Linda McFadden; and brother, Timothy Underwood; two daughters, Elizabeth Prince (son-in-law, Jeff Prince), and Jennifer Dater (son-in-law, Scott Dater); and four grandchildren, Chelsea Woods, Jarrett Prince, Samuel William Dater, and Madison Donna Dater. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Donna Underwood; and a brother, Michael Underwood.
