  • Former Crater standout Bryce Peila was named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference first team for a third consecutive season for NCAA Division II Western Oregon University.
    The senior safety led the team in interceptions with five and tackles (67). Peila owns the Great Northwest Athletic Conference's record for interception return yards and finished his career with 20 picks, one short of the school record.
    The Wolves placed 11 members on the GNAC all-league squad, with six first-team selections.
    Zach Henley of Eagle Point took first in the boys division of the Southern Oregon Youth All-Stars bowling tournament at Roxy Ann Lanes over the weekend.
    Roseburg's Ty Schulze finished second and Charlie Sanders of Central Point was third.
    The girls division was won by Corrisa Weekley of Jacksonville, while Makanzie Elmore of Grants Pass took second.
