  • The Delineators bring a warm, reverb-prone soundscape to a cold season. The Ashland-based band will perform instrumental surf rock that is "nothing like The Beach Boys" at 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Caldera Tap House, 31 Water St., Ashland.
The members, who have been known to play in their bathing suits, are guitarist Peter Gandesbery, electric bassist Kara Gandesbery and drummer Will Shapiro.
Formed about eight years ago, The Delineators took a hiatus, starting in 2011, but recently came back together. The trio plays songs by The Ventures, The Challengers and The Surfaris as well as some originals.
"I've gone through a lot of different phases since I started listening to music as a teenager, ... and surf music or surf rock is the one type I still like," says Peter Gandesbery. "Hard-core punk-rock, I'm too old for that, and psychedelic rock, I got tired of that."
Cover to the show at Caldera is $3. Call 541-482-4677 or see www.delineatorsrock.com.
