Felony arrests

  • Assault — Adriana Noemi Madrigal, 24, of the 700 block of Royal Avenue, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Madrigal on charges of felony fourth-degree assault, harassment and interfering with a police report. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $12,000 bail.
  • Drugs — John Peter Hinton, 49, of the 100 block of South Church Street, Phoenix. Medford police Monday arrested Hinton on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of contraband and for violating the conditions of his probation from a previous drug conviction. He was lodged in jail on $35,000 bail.
  • Drugs — Aaron Javon Criss, 30, no known address. Medford police Sunday arrested Criss on charges of possession of heroin, being a felon in possession of a weapon and for violating the conditions of his parole on a previous assault conviction. He was lodged in jail without bail.
  • Assault — Sean Kevin Hughes, 27, of the 200 block of Freeman Road, Central Point. Central Point police Monday arrested Hughes on charges of felony fourth-degree assault, harassment and interfering with a police report. He was lodged in jail on $13,000 bail.
  • Drugs — Donea Odell Morris, 23, of the 6100 block of Iris Lane, Central Point. Eagle Point police Monday arrested Morris on charges of possession of methamphetamine and driving while suspended. She was lodged in jail on $14,000 bail.
  • Drugs — Laurel Lynn Wallace, 20, of the 600 block of Chestnut Street, Ashland. Eagle Point police Sunday arrested Wallace on charges of possession and manufacturing of hydrocodone and for failing to appear on a disorderly conduct charge. She was lodged in jail and released because of overcrowding.
  • Drugs — Daniel Paul Ballard, 29, no known address. Medford police Monday arrested Ballard on charges of possession of methamphetamine and a warrant for contempt. He was lodged jail and released because of overcrowding.
  • Theft — Elgin Ernan Fletes, 33, of the 3400 block of Corey Road, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Monday arrested Fletes on two counts of first-degree theft and one count each of fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was booked into jail and released.


Crime reports

  • Theft — 700 block of Western Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report at 10:51 a.m. Sunday of the theft of an iPad, texbooks and sunglasses from a vehicle. The loss was valued at $1,000.
  • Theft — 2400 block of West Main Street, Medford. Medford police took a report at 3:06 p.m. Sunday of the theft of a 14-foot trailer. The loss was valued at $1,500.
