  • A Medford police SWAT team is searching a home on Shelterwood Circle after receiving information that a man suspected in a weekend shooting is inside.
Medford Police Chief Tim George said two people from the house have been arrested and one of them could be a suspect in a shooting Saturday in the parking lot of Los Arcos, a Mexican restaurant on Sage Road.
Officers blocked off the area surrounding the house, and nearby Howard Elementary was placed on precautionary lockdown while a SWAT team served a search warrant at the residence.
The students have since been released from school for the day.
"We will be speaking with these two individuals about this Los Arcos shooting over the weekend," George said.
Investigators said the victim was involved in an argument with a man he knew by first name only and that man shot him with a handgun before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Police said the two weren't customers or employees of the restaurant.
The victim was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg and released from the hospital.
