  • Author and researcher Sharan Newman will present her interpretations of numerous end-of-the-world predictions that have occurred over the ages on 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.
    Newman, a medieval historian and author, will read from her book, "The Real History of the End of the World" and share some of the research she found while working on this topic.
    Newman has written novels set in the Middle Ages, including three Arthurian fantasies and ten mysteries set in 12th-century France. She has also written some nonfiction titles, including "The Real History Behind the DaVinci Code" and "The Real History Behind the Templars"
