The second man believed to be involved in a drive-by shooting last month in Central Point has been arrested, police said.

Cody Ray Ledezma, 32, was lodged in the Jackson County Jail today on a attempted second-degree assault charge for his alleged involvement in the Nov. 27 shooting.

Investigators believe Ledezma and Andrew Caucutt, 24, were in a red BMW when a shot was fired from the vehicle in the 6000 block of Truax Road in Central Point.

A witness told investigators that Caucutt, riding in the passenger seat of the BMW 3 series car, pulled out a gun and fired at the house, then the car raced away, police said.

No one was injured in the shooting.

A Jackson County grand jury will meet tomorrow to hear this case and both men could see additional charges, sheriff's officials said.
