  • The Grants Pass Daily Courier is reporting that a Grants Pass man was shot at about 9 a.m. this morning, and that a manhunt is under way for the shooter.
    The shooting occurred in a neighborhood near 708 N.W. C St., the story reports. The victim, 25-year-old Eric Dexter, was found slumped over the passenger seat of a pickup truck near C Street's intersection with Northwest Booth Street.
    Dexter has been taken to Three Rivers Medical Center, but his condition is not currently available. Lt. Dennis Ward said Dexter was being driven from the scene when arriving officers stopped the vehicle and had him get into a responding ambulance.
    Police were still on the hunt for the shooter as of 10:30 a.m. No physical description was available. Check back later for more updates.
