  • Medford police are asking for help finding an 87-year-old Medford man reported to have memory loss who has been missing since Wednesday night.
Family members of Truman Tollefson said he had left a residence in the 1800 block of Brookhurst Street at 5 p.m. Wednesday to run some errands. He drove away in his heavily-oxidized silver 1981 Buick Century and has not been seen since. His concerned family called police at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to report that he hadn't come home yet.
Tollefson does not have a cellphone with him, and police said no recent financial activity has been reported on his bank account or credit card.
"We really have no idea where he could be," said Lt. Mike Budreau. "He could be anywhere."
Police said Tollefson has gone missing once before but was later found by family members. He has not been officially diagnosed with a neurological condition such as dementia, police said.
Tollefson is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs around 135 pounds and is balding. He was last seen wearing a tan coat, black jeans, white tennis shoes and glasses. He is somewhat thinner than the picture provided to police, which was taken in 2005. Anyone who has seen Tollefson should call Medford police at 541-774-2200.
