Christmas in Central Point

The city will host its first Lights Parade in conjunction with its Community Christmas celebration Saturday, Dec. 8&346; The parade will start at 6 p.m. at Seventh Street and follow Pine Street to City Hall on Third Street. There will be more than 20 parade entries decked out in holiday lights, including the Crater High School Marching Band and Color Guard, Erickson Air Crane and TNT Cheer All Stars.

The Christmas celebration will be at 7 p.m. with a tree-lighting ceremony and lots of family activities. Santa will be inside City Hall posing for photographs with children. Visitors also will find crafts, games, hayrides and live performances around the Christmas tree by the Central Point Senior Singers, Crater High School Choir and Fusion Force Dance Team.

The Table Rock Kiwanis will be hand out hundreds of children's books, and hot dogs, burgers and chili will be available at Sam's Diner. See or call 541-664-3321.
