  • Arlene Turner Cole passed to her next life December 5, 2012. She was born March 16, 1930, in Baker City, Ore. to Tom Turner and Jennie Johnson Turner. While still a teenager she met and married Gilbert Cole and, in 1963, they moved to Medford where they raised their three children. She is survived by those children and their spouses, Jerry and Glenda Cole, of Central Point; Andy and Denise Cole, of Medford; and DeAnna and Jeremy Millett, of Baltimore, Md.
She dearly loved - and was loved in return by - her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. These same deep feelings also extended to her First Baptist Church family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers at Providence Hospital where she worked for many years in the pharmacy department. The family would like to thank Teah Fuiava and her family at Shalom Adult Foster Care where Arlene resided the past two years, as well as the kind staff at Providence Hospice who also assisted during the last weeks of her life.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters; an infant son; and her husband of nearly 60 years, Gil. At her request no services are planned.
