  • A 5-kilometer race Saturday, Dec. 15, in Jacksonville, will raise proceeds for hungry children in the area.
    Registration for the Holiday Hustle, organized by the Junior League of Jackson County, is open at https://secure.getmeregistered.com/HolidayHustle5K. Adults can enter for $20 a person, and children 12 and younger can enter for $10 a person. The race starts at 4 p.m. Limited late registration will be available between 3 and 3:45 p.m. on race day.
    The race starts at Jacksonville Elementary and winds through nearby neighborhoods.
    Proceeds will go to the Rogue Power Pack Program, which provides weekend food packages to chronically hungry elementary school students in low-income households.
