I read the story in Sunday's paper about the local women "of a certain age" who posed for a calendar to benefit the Southern Oregon Humane Society. How can I get one of those calendars?
B.P., Medford, via email
For those readers who might have missed it, B.P. is referring to a story about a group of local women who got the idea of becoming pinup girls after watching a 2003 movie called "Calendar Girls," which is based on a true story about a group of sassy Yorkshire women who posed in the buff to raise money for leukemia research.
The local ladies kept their clothes on, and they decided to make the Southern Oregon Humane Society the beneficiary of their derring-do.
"Women of a Certain Age" 2013 calendars are for sale online or at the Humane Society for $10.
