William Bill Albert Wheatley

 

William "Bill" Albert Wheatley, 82, of Central Point, Oregon, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. He was born July 5, 1930 to Howard and Violet Wheatley in Arapahoe, Colo.

 

In April of 1951 he married Leona Witt. Bill served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1956. Bill and his family moved to Medford in 1962 from Bay City, Ore. He worked as a millwright at Medco for 32 years. Bill enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, camping, bowling, and taking walks with Leona.


He is survived by his wife, Leona; daughter, Leanna Chisum; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Larry and Jerry Wheatley. He was preceded by his parents; son, Alan; and daughter, Tamra.


Bill will be laid to rest next to Alan and Tamra in Hillcrest Memorial Park. No services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Cancer Society or your favorite charity. Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, Medford, Oregon are in care of arrangements.
