'As it Was' talent will talk Jan. 2

The producer and narrator for the Jefferson Public Radio series "As It Was: Personal Stories" will speak in January as part of the Windows in Time series.

Producer Raymond Scully and narrator Shirley Patton will speak at noon Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave., and at noon Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.

With more than 2,000 episodes of "As It Was" to their credit, Scully and Patton will share the process in getting the series on the air, personal stories and reflections.

JPR and the Southern Oregon Historical Society coproduce "As It Was" five days a week.

Patton was in the Oregon Shakespeare Festival acting company for 30 seasons. She has also appeared as a guest artist at Actors' Theatre, Oregon Stage Works, Lyric Theatre, and most recently in Camelot Theatre Company's "The Best Man."

Scully moved to the Rogue Valley in 2004. He has more than a decade of experience in radio and television broadcasting, has narrated more than a dozen audiobooks, and now works as an engineer and supervisor at Blackstone Audio in Ashland.

The free lunchtime lecture series occurs monthly on first and second Wednesdays.
