A recent $1.8 million donation pledge from Regence BlueCross Blue Shield of Oregon will benefit several Southern Oregon nonprofit organizations.
The United Way of Jackson County will receive $11,500, while Hearts With A Mission will receive $2,500. The Southern Oregon Humane Society will receive $1,700 in funding.
Fifty-eight nonprofits across the state will benefit from the donation. The pledge includes a 50 percent match from the Cambia Health Foundation.
