Chiloquin grocery employees stun robber

CHILOQUIN — A woman who attempted to rob a Chiloquin grocery store took a boy hostage until she was subdued by employees with a stun gun.

It happened Thursday evening at the Chiloquin Family Food Center.

Owner Taylor Day told the Herald and News the woman entered the store with what appeared to be a rifle. She threatened two employees and took a boy hostage, threatening to shoot him.

The employees saw the weapon was a pellet gun. They used a stun gun to shock the woman and restrained her until Oregon State Police arrived.
