Aman was found dead Monday morning near the railroad tracks behind a strip mall in the 800 block of South Central Avenue in Medford.
Medford police Sgt. Brent Mak said the body was an adult male and there was no apparent trauma, though the investigation is continuing.
The identity of the 29-year-old man will not be released until his next-of-kin has been notified, but police recognized him as a known homeless man from Ashland.
An employee from La Clinica Women's Health Center nearby discovered the body as she was walking to work and reported it to authorities at about 10 a.m.
Medford officers, the Jackson County Sheriff's Department and a medical examiner responded.
"We can't really say how long he was there," said Lt. Mike Budreau. "He was not appropriately clothed for the temperature and he appeared to have been there a little while, based on his body temperature."
The man was found on the west of the tracks near a large concrete building and behind a strip mall containing a Purple Parrot, dog spa and other businesses.
Ashland police last had contact with the man in 2008.
