    • Drugs — Alexander Milton Metcalf, 32, of the 1900 block of Eagle Mill Road, Ashland. Medford police Wednesday arrested Metcalf on a possession of heroin warrant. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released because of overcrowding.
    • Drugs — Jacob Carl Lyon, 21, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested Lyon on charges of possession of methamphetamine, giving false information to police, third-degree theft and three counts of probation violation. He was lodged in jail without bail.
    • Drugs — Lawrence Anthony Jackson, 45, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested Jackson on charges of possession of methamphetamine, third-degree theft and a parole violation. He was lodged in jail without bail.
    • Drugs — Sarah Marie Toney, 30, of the 2300 block of Temple Drive, Medford. Medford police Wednesday arrested Toney on charges of possession of methamphetamine, supplying contraband and two counts of failure to appear in court. She was lodged in jail on $19,000 bail.
    Gunshot wound — A Medford man was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after accidentally shooting himself in the abdomen after returning from the firing range, police said.
    Rescue crews rushed to the man's home in the 1500 block of Red Hawk Drive, which sits off Hillcrest Road in east Medford, for a report of a gunshot wound victim at the residence.
    The 40-year-old man was transported to Rogue Regional Medical Center, where he was being treated late Wednesday for his injuries. The investigation revealed the man accidentally shot himself with a .45-caliber handgun after coming home from a shooting range.
    The man's name was not made available late Wednesday. His medical status also was unknown.
