Pacific Retirement Services said today Travis Staples, who has been interim executive director of Friends House, one of its affiliates in Santa Rosa, Calif., has been appointed to the post permanently.

Staples is a licensed nursing home administrator in Oregon and California. He earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a certificate of applied finance and economics from Southern Oregon University.

During his college days in Ashland, Staples was an intern at PRS, which owns and manages several continuing care retirement communities and senior affordable housing centers in five states. After serving in various capacities at the PRS headquarters, he was hired as a management analyst, working concurrently as the interim executive director of Friends House.

Friends House is owned by Friends Association of Services for the Elderly and has been managed by PRS affiliate Retirement Services.
