Russian-born, classical pianist Yana Reznik will perform works by Mozart, Rachmaninov and Ravel at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford.
The classical musician is making her mark as a performer and civic leader.
Since her sold-out recital in 2004 at Carnegie Hall in New York City, Reznik continues to garner international attention in competitions and on stages. Appearances include the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and Lincoln Center in New York City with such ensembles as the Moscow Chamber Orchestra and Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Reznik's credits as a conductor include leading Johann Sebastian Bach's complete Brandenburg Concertos for the harpsichord in Altenburg, Germany.
She's leveraged her success and created collaborations on and off the stage. As a humanitarian, she gathers musicians and artists of all disciplines for her "Artistic Voyage" concert series to raise money and awareness for noteworthy, charitable organizations.
One of Reznik's celebrated achievements is her work as artistic director, pianist and host for "Live at the Lounge" — a weekly concert series that has featured collaborations with more than 130 world-class performers over the past year.
