They became the proud parents of daughter Cheryl (Central Point, Ore.); and son, Greg (Jacksonville, Ore.), and Jon Phan, of San Jose, Calif., who has been like a son. Glenn was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Christine Whiting. He is survived by his wife; daughter; son; and cousin, Ray Dawson, of Mentor, Ohio. Glenn and Janet and family lived in Mentor, Ohio; Milpitas, Calif.; and in Central Point.
Glenn had the gift of giving generously and of hospitality. He enjoyed singing at his church, First Church of the Nazarene of Medford, Ore., in the Gospelaires choir. He also loved greeting people at the doors of the church almost every Sunday for many years. He and his wife, Janet, were lay pastors in a church Life Group for almost 10 years, and also enjoyed serving in the Pastor's personal church library.

He worked for Arrowhead Industrial Water Co.; Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co.; and Seagate Magnetics, from which he retired in 1998. He was known for being an organized, dependable, experienced maintenance mechanic.
