Give a hoot about owls

Children interested in owls and their eating habits will have the opportunity to look at an owl pellet from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.

Using rubber gloves and tweezers, attendees can look into owl pellets and discover where an owl fits into the food chain by examining what it eats.

The program is designed for ages 3 years and up, although children under 6 years old will need parental assistance. All supplies will be provided and admission is free.

This special event is sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Library. For more information, call the library at 541-774-6995.
